How my business journey started
I'm an open book, so get ready for the raw version...
I started my first business in 2018... while I was fresh out of high school & deeply lost while everyone around me seemed to have a plan. College was not for me, I was terrified of starting my life in a cubicle, and if I'm being completely honest with you... I was struggling with my mental health. Then I picked up a camera.
I didn’t know where it would lead, but behind it, I finally felt like myself. Taking photos, editing, marketing & everything in between gave me a feeling of purpose.
I photographed everything I could while balancing college, 2 hospitality jobs, and long commutes, slowly building a name through word of mouth. The more I created, the clearer and more confident I became.
In 2019, I turned to Instagram to grow my business, and in 2020 my work went viral, changing literally everything.
Within months, I hit 10k followers, booked work across the U.S., and stepped fully into photography as my career. As I shared the real BTS process of building my business, my community grew. And so did the questions asking how I made it all work. I began mentoring other photographers and business owners and quickly realized my strategies worked far beyond just me.
In 2022, I founded Elevated Education Co to help service based business owners build sustainable businesses & structure the crap out of them. Now I run both businesses by myself while prioritizing an intentional life.

I used to think that being your own boss meant that you had to wear a pink blazer & have a Porsche on your vision board...
But high rise apartments & a luxury lifestyle just doesn't tickle my fancy. But supporting local farmers, baking sourdough, and reading a good book at the park letting Mr. Sun kiss my face? Oh baby, that's my jammmmmm!!
We started our own businesses to do what we love, and I refuse to let anyone tell me (or you) that it should mean we have to work 24/7 in order to keep up with the workload that comes with it.
