A little birdie told me that you’re interested in learning how to grow your small business on Pinterest. So I decided to create for you the simple guide to marketing on Pinterest for beginners.
But that same little birdie told me you’re tired of pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into marketing on platforms that don’t give you the results you want?
Spoiler alert, that little birdie is my intuition.
Now sometimes my intuition is wrong, I can admit that.
But no matter what kind of business you run, you’d be lying to yourself if you said you didn’t care how much traffic your business gets.
Because in the world of solopreneurship, you and I both know how important it is to get your business in front of new eyes. And in this digital world, achieving that seems impossible without becoming a full time social media manager.
Am I onto something here?
I’m gonna be fully transparent with ya here. Marketing in Pinterest is pretty easy so if you were thinking “great, I can’t wait for a headache” then guess what? You just learned the first perk of Pinterest. There’s no headaches in the game of Pinterest!!
So let’s get right into it, if you want to use Pinterest to generate traffic to your business in your sleep with the work of only 2 hours a month (yeah, you read that right) then you’ve come to the right place my friend!
Pinterest can be used for both personal and business.
So if you’ve only ever used Pinterest for meal prep inspo or fall outfit ideas, it’s time to switch to the big leagues and make your personal account, a business account!
Now you don’t have to create an entirely new account, just a quick switcheroo of your current one (if you already have one). But if I were you, I would make some boards private first. But just the ones that don’t align with your niche.
👉🏼 For example, if you’re a holistic nutritionist, maybe make that board you’ve had since 2013 for Christmas Decor private. You can still pin things to this board, but when it comes to using Pinterest for business, you’re going to want to have some boards on private to eliminate confusion for both your audience and the Pinterest platform when determining who to show your content to.
Having a keyword rich bio, a professional profile picture, an attractive header for your profile, and strategic board descriptions are KEY for helping Pinterest increase visibility, improve search rankings, and attract the right audience to your content.
In the Pinterest Powerhouse, I walk you through exactly how to perform the right kind of keyword research for your niche and implement these into your Pinterest account so it works for you, not against you. Check out how to market on Pinterest for beginners here!
Pinterest isn’t just about inspiration, it’s a search engine where people actively look for solutions!
In fact, it’s one of the FIRST places online people go to when they need to search for something because of how impactful it’s become. There’s now more than 5 billion different searches on Pinterest each month. Wild right?!
So if you are a copywriter, you could post a graphic on Pinterest with the title “5 Copywriting Mistakes That Are Costing You Clients” and drive it to a blog post you wrote on this topic.
Your target audience would see this and think… “Gasp!! I gotta read more like right away” because why the heck would they want to be WASTING the potential of getting new clients?? And this benefits YOU because you’re helping your audience with a problem they may have WHILE providing value AND driving traffic to your website.
Sounds like a win, win, win, WIN to me!! 🎉
However, making sure that your content pops up in front of the right people (aka, your target audience) only happens when you implement a solid keyword strategy.
That’s something I also show you how to do inside the Pinterest Powerhouse – how to write high-converting pin copy and find the best keywords to get your content in front of the right people.
Wanna know the best freaking part?
Pinterest is your definition of the perfect man. You know the guy that you take home to meet your parents for the holidays. The guy that listens when you speak and openly communicates. The guy that doesn’t text “wyd Friday night” and says “I made dinner reservations for us Friday night & it’s at your favorite restaurant!”
This is because Pinterest doesn’t change up on you every month like regular social media platforms. You don’t need to try so hard to be something you’re not.
Pinterest allows you to repurpose your existing content and use a simple, rinse and repeat strategy process. Pinterest is perfect for repurposing Instagram posts, blog content, freebies, you name it!
But wait, it gets even better… So yeah, you get to repurpose your existing content, but you also get to extend its lifespan by driving more traffic to it while giving your brain a break.
Meaning when you create a Pinterest marketing strategy, you’re dealing with a reliable and sustainable platform vs. an unpredictable algorithm. You don’t need to worry about constant engagement, or replying to all these DM’s, or using trending audios or any of that BS.
Pinterest really is all that and a bag of chips.
You don’t need to start from scratch every time you create content—Pinterest lets you get more mileage out of what you’ve already made.
So just imagine turning your Instagram posts, blog content, or freebies into pins that drive traffic for months (or even years).
Pinterest is not just another social media platform… it’s a search engine.
So if you’re sitting there thinking “I know my business needs Pinterest, but I don’t have time for one more thing on my plate…” then I am here to tell you that it’s not gonna add more to your plate, it’s actually gonna take stuff OFF your plate.
Just see what it’s done for other business owners like yourself who took the jump and reaped the benefits of a platform that invests in YOU:
All I’m saying is if you’re STILL putting off Pinterest marketing yet your goal is to bring new eyes to your business CONSISTENTLY so you can book more clients… It’s time to change that.
And that starts with the Pinterest Powerhouse! Your tried and true complete guide to marketing on Pinterest. Go on, give it a lil looksie, I know you wanna!!
